Starkey Power domes
Starkey Power domes are specially engineered, dual-layer silicone tips intended for receiver-in-canal (RIC) and thin-tube hearing aids used in cases of moderate to severe hearing loss. Their design offers a tighter acoustic seal than open or occluded domes, helping reduce sound leakage and feedback.
Compatibility and sizes
Power domes are compatible with many Starkey hearing aids such as Edge, Genesis, Evolv, and Livio. They are available in sizes Small (8/10 mm), Medium (10/12 mm), and Large (12/14 mm).
Usage and replacement
Replace power domes every 1–2 months, or earlier if you notice discoloration, blockages, or changes in sound clarity.
Steps to replace power domes:
- Grasp the dome or tube firmly and pull off the old dome
- Align the new dome properly
- Push until it seats securely
Benefits
Starkey Power domes deliver enhanced acoustic isolation by sealing the ear canal more tightly than standard domes, which helps maximize amplification and reduce feedback. Their dual-layer construction adapts to changes in pressure while maintaining a stable fit, reducing slippage or shifting during movement. The soft silicone casing conforms to the ear canal’s shape, reducing irritation during extended use. By forming a barrier against wax, moisture, and dirt, these domes help preserve internal components and support consistent performance. When replaced regularly, they maintain strong amplification and clarity in challenging listening situations.
