Keep your hearing aid steady with Signia Concha Lock
Signia Concha Lock is a small retention tail that attaches to the tip of your mini-receiver wire and loops into your ear’s concha to help anchor the speaker. It’s especially useful if your device slips or shifts during daily activities, humid conditions, or when you move your jaw.
Lock types
Concha Locks come in variations matching the power rating of your receiver: Standard (S), Medium (M), or Power (P). When you remove your dome, look for a marking like “2M” or “3P” on the receiver to choose the correct lock.
Installation and replacement guide:
- Remove the dome gently
- Slide the Concha Lock onto the receiver tip until it sits snugly
- Insert your hearing aid into the ear, guiding the loop into the concha
- Check that it doesn’t press uncomfortably
Replace the lock whenever you observe it hardening, cracking, or when retention weakens.
Why use a Concha Lock?
If you live an active life or frequently wear your hearing aid in warm, humid environments, the Concha Lock grants peace of mind by stabilizing the receiver in the ear. It helps prevent the speaker wire from tugging or shifting. Because it loops in the concha rather than pressing into the canal, it avoids interference with sound pathways and preserves your acoustic clarity. The Lock also reduces ingress of moisture, wax, and dirt around the wire-junction, protecting delicate internal components.
