Oticon O-Cap is a microphone filter for newer Oticon in-ear hearing aids. The O-Cap filter is nano-coated and is designed to prevent earwax and dirt from settling in the microphone input, which in addition to earwax is one of the most common causes of defects in in-ear hearing aids. Your hearing aid must be equipped with a microphone opening that fits the O-Cap in order for you to use this microphone filter.

When the microphone is exposed to dirt and debris from your ears and surroundings, it can damage the sound quality. Therefore, it is important to use a filter for the microphone.
It is recommended to replace the O-Cap approximately once a month, or more frequently if you are in dusty or dirty environments, to achieve the best possible sound quality. If the O-Cap filter is blocked, it should be replaced.
