LifeTube are thin tubes that transfer the sound from your hearing aid into the ear. The tube is thin, which makes it extremely flexible and comfortable to wear. In addition, it is completed in transparent material and is therefore very discreet to use.

Good sound quality relies on intact and clean thin tubes. Thin tubes are exposed to a lot of influences throughout the day, where they encounter moisture and dirt. This can come from both your ears and the environment. If dirt gets into the thin tube, it blocks the sound, and the transmission from your hearing aids to your ears becomes incomplete. That’s why it’s important to replace your thin tubes regularly.

Additionally, the material can become stiff, which can cause discomfort in your ear area. The hard material can create pressure marks, and bacteria can irritate the skin around your ear. By regularly replacing thin tubes, you ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience using your hearing aid.

The interval for replacing thin tubes should be individually assessed, but they should be replaced at least every 3 months. It also depends on the conditions they are exposed to. If you engage in vigorous physical activity or spend a lot of time outdoors, the thin tubes will wear out faster. If you notice that the thin tubes turn yellow and the material becomes hard, they should be replaced immediately.

It is recommended to replace the thin tubes at least every 3 months or as needed.
