The remote control allows you to adjust the volume depending on the situation, providing greater flexibility and independence. With the plus and minus buttons, you can regulate the volume based on the listening situation you find yourself in. The remote control can also be used to switch programs if your hearing care professional has made more than one program available in your hearing aids. With the program selection button, you can choose which of your stored personal programs to use in a given situation.

With the bilateral function in Bernafon RC-A, you can adjust the volume more in both hearing aids at the same time. When using the remote control, you will hear a sound in your hearing aids confirming the action taken. This way, you avoid accidentally turning up the volume on your hearing aids more than you want. Instead, you will be sure when you have made a change, such as adjusting the volume, via the remote control. At the same time, all activity is also indicated by showing a green status light at the top of the remote control. By holding down the volume-down button for about 2 seconds, you have the option to activate the mute mode if you need to mute all sounds from your hearing aids. This can be comfortable, for example, if you suddenly find yourself in a very noisy situation. The mute mode can be turned off by pressing any button, and you are quickly back to being able to hear without problems.

To avoid accidentally pressing the buttons on the remote control while it is in your pocket, for example, you can lock the buttons for safety. This is done simply by holding down the volume-down button and the program selection button simultaneously for 3-4 seconds. The status light will blink twice when the buttons are locked. You can easily unlock the buttons by again holding the same buttons simultaneously for 3-4 seconds.
