Unitron – usage guide

How to use Unitron hearing aids – Everyday controls and settings

Unitron hearing aids are designed to be easy to use, even for first-time wearers. With intuitive buttons, smart adaptive technology, and app-based control, daily operation is simple and reliable.

This guide explains the most common actions users want to perform — including how to turn your hearing aids on and off, adjust volume, and reset your devices when needed.

How to turn on Unitron hearing aids

Turning on your Unitron hearing aids is straightforward and depends on the model:

  • For rechargeable models (e.g. the Unitron Moxi Blu-family):
Remove the hearing aids from the charging case. They turn on automatically within a few seconds and are ready to use.

  • For battery-powered models:
Close the battery door fully. A confirmation sound will usually play, indicating that the hearing aids are now active.

Once turned on, your hearing aids will automatically adapt to your surroundings using Unitron’s signal processing platform (Blu or Discover Next).

How to turn off Unitron hearing aids

To turn off your hearing aids:

  • Rechargeable models:
Place the hearing aids back into the charger. They will power down automatically once the charging process begins.

  • Battery models:
Open the battery door fully. This disconnects the power and helps preserve battery life.

You can also use the Remote Plus app or remote accessories (like the Unitron Remote Control) to put the hearing aids into standby mode when needed.

How to adjust volume on Unitron hearing aid

Volume control is simple and can be done in a few different ways depending on your model:

  1. Using the physical button on the device (if available):

    • A short press increases or decreases volume depending on the configuration.

  2. Through the Unitron Remote Plus app:

    • Open the app, select your hearing aids, and use the volume sliders to adjust each side individually or together.

  3. Via remote accessories:

Your hearing care professional can also pre-set volume levels and ranges to suit your preferences.

How to reset Unitron hearing aid

If your Unitron hearing aid isn’t responding or needs a fresh start, you may be able to perform a manual reset or request a fitting reset through your hearing care provider.

Manual reset:

  • For most rechargeable models, place the hearing aids in the charger and leave them for 30 seconds, then remove them again. This performs a soft reset.

  • For battery models, open and close the battery door to restart the device.

If the problem persists, your provider can perform a full reset via the fitting software, which restores factory settings. Note that this will erase any custom programming, so it’s best used only when absolute necessary.

Make the most of your Unitron hearing aids

Learning how to operate your hearing aids correctly helps you get better results from day one. Whether you’re adjusting volume, rebooting the device, or simply putting it away for the night, Unitron’s smart design makes it easy.
