Why Choose Bernafon SpiraFlex Domes
There are five different types of Bernafon Domes. The choice of dome alters the sound characteristics.
Open Domes:
The open domes are suitable for those who do not want a closed-off feeling in the ear canal and occlusion. These domes ensure significant ventilation in the ear canal. They are used for mild to moderate amplification needs.
Closed Domes with Small or Large Ventilation:
The closed domes provide a more intense sound experience as they close off the ear more. This effectively prevents feedback, as amplified sounds cannot escape from the ear canal. The closed domes have a ventilating effect as they are equipped with one or two ventilation holes, depending on whether you prefer substantial or minimal ventilation. This provides a free and ventilating sensation along with an intense sound experience. They are most commonly used for moderate to profound hearing loss or when bass enhancement is a priority.
Tulip Domes:
Tulip domes have a tapered shape, combining characteristics of both closed and open domes. They offer a ventilating effect in the ear canal while providing a more intense sound experience.
Power Domes:
Power domes deliver the most intense sound experience. They are designed with two seals that ensure a secure fit and effectively block out other sounds. Power domes have the least ventilation and therefore provide the most occluded sensation.
